The design of this retail park, located in the western Salnés region, in the heart of the Arousa estuary, faces the challenge of deeply understanding both the cultural identity and geographical context of the place. Nestled between mountains and ocean, the park blends naturally into the surrounding landscape.
The project prioritizes sustainability through energy-efficient design, responsible water management, and minimization of environmental impact. By using local materials, it pays homage to the authenticity of the territory, ensuring that the architecture blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Carefully framed views of the ocean and mountains are incorporated into the design, creating immersive spaces that invite visitors to connect with the natural environment.

A tribute to cultural identity and the surrounding landscape
The project stems from a deep understanding of the cultural identity of Salnés and its natural landscape. Nestled between imposing mountains and the calm waters of the Arousa estuary, the park expresses a balance between human activity and nature.
The architecture acts as a bridge between the history and traditions of the place and a contemporary vision of commercial development. Through the integration of organic, flowing forms and the use of local materials, the design reflects both the authenticity and timeless beauty of the landscape.
Each volume is designed to interact with its surroundings, integrating the architecture naturally into the landscape.
Essentially, the project seeks to connect people with the land. By highlighting cultural heritage and providing spaces for contemplation, the park becomes a place where the local community can recognize itself within the surrounding landscape.
The architectural composition invites visitors to pause and observe, creating an experience rooted in history and open to the future. Beyond its commercial function, this park stands as a tribute to the natural environment, cultural identity, and the people who inhabit this territory.
The parking lot is no longer a purely functional space, but has become a carefully designed area that reinforces the overall harmony of the park and its respect for nature.
The vegetation blends in between the parking rows, creating a greener and more pleasant environment.
The design focuses on the user experience, making parking a convenient and seamless part of the journey.
Native landscaping is based on the concept of unity with the natural environment. The design seeks to create spaces that invite reflection, contemplation, and interaction with nature.
The paths blend into the topography, minimizing disruption to the terrain and respecting the natural flow of the landscape. Water features, such as ponds and gentle streams, add dynamism to the whole.
Outdoor spaces are not conceived solely as functional areas, but as places for social interaction and contemplation, with open plazas, shaded areas, and unobstructed views of the sea and mountains.
